Hot topic, I know. Ehhh. Overall, I think I'm less overwhelmed this time because I knew what I was getting myself into. And i trully think my boys are ready. But dont get me wrong, im still training them. It's work. And i have to (gasp!) push them to go when they dont want to. Almost every hour I have the boys go to the bathroom. Before we leave the house, go bathroom. As soon as we get home, bathroom again. Before nap, bathroom. It's not up for debate or proposed as question for them.Dot has even gotten in on the action, which helps. She has her own chart for flushing, wiping, and washing her hands. So when they see her go, the boys want to too. Stickers for all!
So far today Alf hasn't had an accident, and it's 1:30pm. I knew it was going to be easier for him. But he's horrible at putting his sticker on the chart! He lacks the fine motor skills to get the tiny sticker off his finger and onto the paper. He makes it look so difficult! Somehow he ends up just putting the sticker on his belly button. Perhaps it's easier to put a sticker on a squashy belly.
Bee has had one accident but he's super good at putting the sticker on the chart. He's got that skill to perfection.
Day four, half way done. My goal is to be confident enough to take them to church on Sunday without diapers. Something to look forward to I guess

How do you make them go!? I put Jack on and he'll go - in the mornings. By afternoon he doesn't care anymore and it's all accidents even though I put him on the toilet every hour and try to make him go. Ugh. I'm struggling now.
ReplyDeleteYeah! My favorite thing about potty training is all of the money you save on diapers and wipes.
ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned lately that you're amazing? Potty training twins has got to be quite the task, but I know you can do it! Good luck over the next little while.
ReplyDeleteWell, since we never really talk anymore, I now know why. You've been busy being SUPER MOM! Running, potty training, baking, reading great books, etc. You're always inspiring me to be a better overall mom and you always look so stylish (as Miya and Emi would say) while you're at it.
