cleaning like a mad woman so i can get out of this house by april 1st without too much drama. i hate cleaning. it makes me grouchy. here's the all to familiar cycle:
clean bathroom.
go on to clean the bedroom. hang up laundry.
go back to bathroom to clean up soap that Alf poured every where.
go back to bedroom, hang up clothes Bee just pulled down. And ties too.
Repeat repeat repeat

I was feeling so defeated. And yelled, "Get out of the way!" right into Bee's little itsy face. Then I turned to Alf and did the same thing. All the while Dot's watching in complete horror. I must have looked so scary. Bee kind of shook and cried and both the boys wanted me to hold them. Which was even more maddening because all I wanted to do was finish cleaning up the stupid house. Not hug and comfort the two people that were making me feel so hopeless.

Enter visiting teacher. She watched my kids while I went out alone. I planned on doing production things like vacuum my car, but decided against it. I bought myself some shoes instead. So cliche, I know. But it worked. I didn't yell at my kids for the rest of the day. Or clean for that matter.

The missionaries also stopped by with a message randomly around 8pm. The message was on bringing the Spirit into the house. And it was. I shrank when the missionaries started talking the sacred role of motherhood and how difficult it must be.

I guess I have to believe the church is true now. Geez louise. I also have to push that sneaky suspicion that they stopped by earlier, heard me yelling at my kids and decided to come back later. Nawww. Can't be.
