such a bittersweet day. she didn't realize that it would probably be the last day that she would be seeing a lot of her friends. but i knew. there are a few playdates setup in the summer. but. it's not the same. as much as i hated driving her all the way to school from san francisco, in the end it was worth it. she spent 2 years going to school there. that's like half her life! i looved her teacher, Laura. we were avoiding each other on graduation day. we had a special bond and knew it would be hard not to cry when we saw each other. luckily we get to have dinner with her teacher soon to say our real goodbyes. i love teachers. my mom would have adored laura. i feel like they had the same teaching style. i wish dot could have her forever!!
here's a quick video of the day. stupid us, we didn't get a video of grandma, grandpa, aunt em, or even Orb and i. But we were all there! And the boys. love the song i put to the video. it captured the mood of the day perfectly. it's off of Dan Zane's "house party" album. i listen to this album even when all the kids are sleeping. Such good old folk songs. i can never tell which one's are his original's or remakes.
I LOVE the video:) Congrats,Ella:)
