the Holden Caulfield for kindergarteners

although i've heard of the Eloise series, i never read them until recently. First published in 1955, I'm amazed how fresh it still remains.  One critic compared her to Holden Caulfield. For Kindergarteners.  And I couldn't agree more. It's a pleasure to read these books out loud. I have so much fun with it! And now I wish I would have named Dot Eloise. Oh name regrets will haunt me for life!
