Free ferry to staten island

Along the way, we got a good look at the Statue of Liberty. It seemed much closer than the pictures make it look. When we got off the ferry, we walked to a park and had lunch. I would like to explore Staten Island a little more someday. It had some fun things and such a slower pace. It was a much needed break from the go go go of Manhattan.
