the boys are crazy about their sticker charts. i went to the dollar store and bought a packet of 360 stickers with animals on it. then i sat with them individually and drew up a chart. with a verrry realistic portrait of themselves next to their name. here's the rules:
1. One sticker for going pee
2. Only the frog stickers are given when they go poop. They for some reason realllly liked this idea. I have made them believe that the frog stickers are extra special.
The sticker chart was bought at 4pm and from that time on, there wasn't a single accident for four hours. Our longest stretch yet. Cheers.
the washer and dryer are helping me along the way. I pity my friends who have to do this without that simple conveince. I have done at least 5 loads today.
Observation: Since I have potty trained both boys and girls, I have to say, so far potty training boys has been much cleaner because the get to stand up to go pee. I love that!
Since deciding to go cold turkey, I'm happy to say that the boys haven't wanted to use those plastic potties. Very cool. I hated cleaning that out.
Sticker chart worked for us, only AK got two stickers for #2. She totally would have been all over the frog sticker though. Genius.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the idea of being completely rid of BabiesRUs. That's where I want to be eventually, hopefully a few years from now, - to one day say goodbye to all things baby and just embrace my little ones as children.
Ha! Your boys must have good aim. Mine pee all over the seat. Arg.
